About the print
Memories flicker like dreams.
Cut scence and cello taped together at 6 frames per second.

The past redacts to a single broken landscape.

Whether an unarticulated trauma or a beloved memory our remembrances when retold are non temporal. Forced into linear narratives forms rupture. Grasped like a favourite tea cup, smashed and glued crudely back together we hold a jigsaw that will never be reconciled. Maybe it was never as whole as we think it must have once been anyway.

Through a cut and paste of my own photographs that decay constantly with each repeated zeroxed utterance, the past present and future become a jerking interrupted rhythm. In this the interludes are as significant as the activity. These screen prints are fractured after images that find a space that can exist without possibility of totality.
